Is a bed base better than slats?
Firstly, buying a bed base does not necessarily guarantee that it is free of slats – this boils down to the individual design of each bed base. However, it is common that bed bases are non-slatted. You may prefer a non-slatted bed base if you’re after a bed base that is sturdy. Further, some non-slatted bed bases may make your mattress feel a bit firmer but tend to lean on the pricier side.
