Robust materials are counterbalanced by curved forms, natural textures: timbers, stone, linen and leather, intimate lighting and acoustics to create an enhanced user experience. The restrained palette provides a calm backdrop for busy family life.

Spaces and materials are curated for sensorial and emotive value. A tangible sense of sanctuary prevails. Flexibility and adaption are integral in response to the client’s expansive brief. The house is a holiday home for two or for extended family, a base for family, social and corporate gatherings, and a farmhouse for vineyard and livestock operations. Openness and generosity prevail while subtle curation supports intimacy and refuge.

Sustainability and services are integrated thoughtfully and seamlessly. The strong collaboration between Interior Designer and Architect enabled refining of detail. Art, landscape, acoustic and lighting consultants were commissioned early. Site-specific furniture commissions from local makers and contemporary art works sit simply, side by side. Leeton Pointon Architects + Allison Pye Interiors delivered the project within budget and surpassed our clients brief and expectations. The house functions on both practical and aesthetic levels.
