British mega pop star Robbie Williams has made his first official venture into the world of furniture design with the release of the ‘Introvert Chair’ in collaboration with Dutch brand Moooi. Designed “for those who crave retreat in a world that never stops talking”, the singer’s sculptural armchair is “curved to cocoon and padded to please” and has all the makings of a very comfortable reading spot.
Across the Introvert Chair’s padded wooden frame is a soft, ivory-coloured fabric made from virgin wool, alpaca and cotton, which has been stitched using a quilting technique to create a finish that Wallpaper rather aptly described as “cauliflower-like.”

According to Moooi, this piece is more than just a seat; it’s a mood, an opportunity to find a comforting pause from the noise, a space to be alone, but never lonely. It’s this introverted sentiment that can be seen across Robbie Williams’ bold, graphic-style art, particularly his solo exhibition Radical Honesty, which was shown at the Moco Museum and is where the armchair was first unveiled.
Sentimentality aside, the ‘Angels’ and ‘Rock DJ’ singer’s first foray into furniture design provides a subtle sculptural look with cushioned comfort, all on a swivel base, might we add!
The Introvert Chair is priced at approximately $6880 and is now available; however, it appears there are currently no stockists in Australia.
